terre di confine filmfestival focussed its X edition on 'Ireland: islands, roots, boundaries': started in December 2016, it was completed in March 2017. Ireland was the tenth guest after Finland, Cuba, Kurdistan, the Balcans, Africa, Argentina, Romania, the Spanish linguistic minorities and Greece.

Protagonists of festival events: writer and performer Francesco Abate; Michelin starred chef Roberto Petza; Sardinian-Irish folk music group 'the Glee's'; Sardinian Choir 'Condaghe' from Bonarcado with Choir 'la Vega' from Milis; photographer Gianfranco Mura; visual artists Simone Cireddu and Barbara Pinna; journalist Umberto Cocco; film professors/filmmakers Sergio Scavio and Davide Bini; seminar moderators, the members of 'Su Disterru' Association Nello Rubattu, Patrizia Garau and Carla Caprioli. Filmmaker Bernardo Bolognesi sent a contribution.
The celebrations of the Xth anniversary was dedicated to Finland: we were honoured to have again with us the staff of Midnight Sun Film Festival (which had been the main guest of our first edition in Asuni, 2005): execurive director Ari Lehtola and programme manager Milja Mikkola (with contributions of artistic director Timo Malmi and production manager Johanna Saarinen).
