Older Than Ireland narrates a century through the eyes of thirty Irish centenarians. The film explores the journey of each of them, from national independence to life in contemporary Ireland. Unforgettable events are recalled, such as receiving the first pair of shoes or the excitement of the first kiss, the magic of a wedding or the tragic loss of their loved ones. These women and men are witnesses of a century of extraordinary social, political and technological transformations, interpreted by each of them according to their own vision of life.
