Irish director Alex Fegan, interviewed by Anna Cicerchio at terre di confine filmfestival on 11th March in Solarussa, describes what first inspired him:

• The Irish Pub: “I was interested in businesses that were in the same family for three generations... Irish pubs have music, they have on the wall the local history ... Politics, sports... we filmed 25 pubs all over Ireland"
• Man Made Men:  “A scientist who tries to make a world inside a box... inside this box he puts tiny little people... how to make life from lifeless materials...”
• Older than Ireland : “I met a man who was going to a birthday party… and the party was his aunty's... he arranged a meeting ”
