La Mina is a video installation by Simone Cireddu and Barbara Pinna: eleven videos on eleven displays narrating Sardinian emigration in the Belgian mines between 1946 and the early sixties. Voices and faces of ten miners and their wives, sisters, daughters and grandchildren. Des hommes et des femmes du contre charbon: La Mina is noise and silence, shout and whisper, dark and light, visible and invisible, remembrance and forgetfulness. In March 2017 one of the locations of terre di confine filmfestival is a house in the center of Asuni, renovated and converted into a Documentation Center. During the tenth edition of the festival, this house hosts a section of the photo and video exhibition by Simone Cireddu and Barbara Pinna entitled 'La MINA' ('the mine'). Its story goes as follows.
In 2002, Antonio Porcu (in the photo), born in Asuni and migrated to Bologna, donates his birthplace to the Municipality of Asuni.
Yesterday Matteo Incollu, director of short Disco Volante, was interviewed by Anna Cicerchio at terre di confine filmfestival. Matteo tells about his short, featured yesterday Friday 10th March in Solarussa (Oristano) in the section dedicated to Sardinian directors: 'Stories like this one become true when you begin telling them'.

Sardinian director Tomaso Mannoni was interviewed yesterday by Anna Cicerchio in Solarussa (Oristano) at terre di confine filmfestival, after the projection of his short ABOUT NEXT HORIZON - DEL PROSSIMO ORIZZONTE (Italy/2015/14’) in Casa Sanna in the festival session dedicated to Sardinian filmmakers. The projection and following meeting have been attended by a large audience.
On March 9th, 2017 in Oristano, Museo Diocesano Arborense was inaugurated the photo exhibition 'CINEMA!' by Gianfranco Mura. 'Immigrant' photographer, Gianfranco Mura (here below in a photo by Giuseppe Loche) tells us how did he select the thirty b/w shots presented in this special collateral event of terre di confine filmfestival X edizione.
